Welp, I peed in a cup today.
The last hurdle to re-employment. To celebrate, I went to CVS and spent too much money on makeup. I'm thinking maybe a new haircut is in order as well.
I used to get fantastic haircuts/colors at an edgy, cool salon from one of my edgy, cool bffs. Then she moved and I went through unemployment, then underemployment. I couldn't drop 120 bucks on a cut & color a few times a year. I've gotten 2 haircuts in the last two years, both at Hair Cuttery. Dumped a few bottles of Clairol on my head. I've learned to do without a lot, and I know I certainly don't need a deluxe haircut and fab highlights. Man, it sure would be nice though.
This new job might even be pink-hair-friendly. I saw some blue highlights on an employee, but I'm going to be a supervisor so I'm not sure if it will fly. I'll get another safe trim and another bottle of Medium Warm Brown for now.
