This piece has got that lovely slow pace that I adore in your fics. And I especially like that you continued it from Wilson's POV (something there is just not enough of in most H/W fanfiction).
"I'm not sure I'll ever understand you," he said.
"Good," House replied. "Now we're even."
I have a theory on what House was doing with the 'G.H.'. He is making sure that every time Wilson lights up, he will be reminded that he is breaking a promise to House (the guilt should work better than anything else he could could).
"Julius Watten didn't exist," House said. "Sometimes I wonder if you do."Yeah, the whole "you're all persona" thing. It really bugs House that he can't quite figure Wilson out completely, but it probably charms him too ( ... )

Yeah, generally if I'm going to play in someone else's sandbox, I try to keep the tone and POV intact.
Resounding yes on the guilt tactic, though I suspect there's more going on than that. There usually is, with House.
I did make sure those candy cigs were still pretty easy to get, before I wrote them into the story. I think I had them a time or two as a kid, but they really are pretty terrible, so there wasn't much appeal for me.
The back-and-forth of ideas and stories is something I've missed in fandom, so I've been enjoying this exchange project a whole lot. If you ever get ideas to play with anything of mine, just know you have blanket permission to do it.

Well, there was a rumour at one stage that Wilson didn't actually exist but was House's imaginary friend :)
I wonder if House is going to use the J.W lighter....

House will definitely keep Wilson's old lighter. He's not much for giving things back, in the first place, but in my mind I figure House always has either matches or a lighter on him. I don't think he smokes, other than the occasional act of rebellion like we've seen on the show; I just think he likes knowing that if he wants to set something on fire, he can.

It was one of those things where I read the original one and my brain immediately said, "Okay, here's what happens next," and I needed to just write it and get it out there.
