I agree, the Impala was gorgeous tonight! I especially liked that night shot early in the episode. I want .gifs made of that, icons, headers, wallpapers. &hearts Impala &hearts

I love Phil's style. He always puts us right there with them. I feel like I grasp so quickly how I'm supposed to approach a scene and a person in it - because I know it's intentional and not just a formula.

I felt that the way Sciggricia filmed it someone was always watching. There were tons of overhead shots. I loved the way the boys looked in the Impala. There was such a freshness to the color there b/c they were "Back in the Saddle Again". [I just knew they'd use that song].

The airplane was goofy! Maybe they could have worked in a car crash or something. When you are in a tiny plane you wear headphones to communicate. that inaccuracy and the girl's acting was jarring, hankfully it was brief.

Yeah, I forgive the headphones. That was pretty amateur... on the other hand, maybe Stan wasn't such a great pilot after all and she had a reason to be Dean-level-panicked. He didn't even know the weather forecast! FAIL, STAN.

Phil Sgriccia is good at making action where there isn't any. Something will be almost completely still... and he moves the camera and then leaves it still like the top of a roller coaster... leaves it there juuuust long enough for you to see a twitch in Sam's sleep or a glance from Bobby in his discomfort with Sam, but without making it as heavy as it would be if we had to literally watch them live through the whole thing.
