Also also? I, too, like the Charger. Like I like the boys each having their own laptop. Their hunting (and organizational) styles are so very different, it was nice for Sam to have his owe space (automotively speaking) for a while.

Hardly needs to be said but I TOTES AGREE about Sam. (That's for Tahirire.) I also agree that there's more to it (that's for Blacklid), but I'm not so worried about deals or clocks. Show has never struck me as wanting to retread tired ground.

I also agree about all those things about "paying", except all I thought was: no mess, no fuss, no attachments, maximum control. Makes sense.

Sam has thrown himself into the hunting life completely. He is logical. His cost/benefit evaluations are razor-keen, and he allows no liabilities. I don't think he allows himself to even consider other options (thus avoiding both hope and fear completely) and it's there, I think, that the tension is going to start working. Once the possibilities/demands that he be more than just a pure hunter bring their pressure to bear, it's going to become interesting. I forsee a "I just wish you'd start being my brother again because ... just because." in their future.
