Found you via steamfashion, and seems we share a fair few interests so am requesting permission to come aboard. :)

I remember reading somewhere on Indeed,Sir that you were writing a Holmes/J&W crossover and I'm now so completely intrigued that it'll be awesome if you can give me either a link or permission to check it out. :)

Welcome! Yes, I'm in the process of writing a crossover, working on chapter 4 now. (I don't post WIPs because I like to present clean, finished fics, and I'm too prone to drift away from my original outline and then have to change earlier chapters.) I friended you so if you wish you can see my babblings about it and a few short snippets.

The relevant posts are here.

I should add that comments, suggestions, or general cheerleading is much appreciated.

Hi - i noticed a post of yours on the women_academics community. i'm very interested in some of the gender issues you mentioned (not to mention we have somewhat similar academic interests & i'm also INTP). i haven't revealed much about my own issues on my journal (in fact, to the outside world, i'm probably more "normal" than not) but would be open to private communication on that front if desired.

Anyway, i found your comments interesting & was wondering if i could add you as a friend... if you're uncomfortable with that, i completely understand. Just let me know. i wish you well regardless.

Welcome! I'm always happy to meet a fellow dead languages fan. These days I'm babbling about my very silly fanfic writing as much as anything. (In its defense, it's keeping me sane while I study for Comps.) But my two other favorite topics are school and gender, so I hope my journal won't be too terribly boring for you. (And sometimes, if I'm very very lucky, I manage a post that includes all three.)

I became intrigued by your journal because of the title-that book you spoofed on sits in my house yet to be read by myself (it's on my list). Then I came to learn we share some common interests, like Jeeves and Wooster. I love that show, and pretty much anything with Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie in it. And then you are a Discworld fa! I've read every book multiple times. I'm a bit fan-rabid.

I consider myself INXX, in that the last two I always get fifty/fifty. I'm never the same on those whenever I take the test.

Gender is something that also really interests me. I've written a few stories about gender identity. I'm not exactly very typical myself...

Anyways, this all leads up to: may I add you?

Welcome! Feel free to add. These days I talk a lot about the Sherlock Holmes/Jeeves and Wooster slash cross-over fanfic that's taken over my life. And also school. Lots and lots about grad school.

I'm thinking about grad school...I'm a lowly undergrad freshman at the moment still taking intro classes. So I shall be interested in reading about that!

I can relate to that...I had a novel that took over my life for two years. Then I never finished it! Probably for the best, I was made fun of for it (laughs). I won't tell you why unless you ask, it's a bit of an odd reason.

Grad school is marvelous fun, although you may not always be able to tell, reading my posts, but that's just because I'm in my PhD Exams semester.

I won't tell you why unless you ask, it's a bit of an odd reason.

Well, if you put it *that* way then I *have* to know why.
