There are a lot of cruel things in this world... if all you look at is pictures like that, you will see murder. However: what a woman wants to do with her own body (even kill part of it) is her own choice. Every one of those fetus's would have been aborted either because of a miscarriage or because the mother made the choice to. As soon as fat white guys in congress start telling women what to do with their bodies you will see a lot of women dying because of infections when they decided to do a "home abortion."

If you want murder:

I don't think you took a close enough look at those pictures. blackfrazzle March 30 2005, 01:58:21 UTC
ONLY 6% of abortion patients have had the procedure done due to physical health. Yet, 47% are motivated by social acceptance.

We would see a lot LESS deaths occurring if abortions were not legal.. it's possible the small 6% of potential mothers could have died, but in that process thousands upon millions of children could have had a chance to live.

And yes, it is someone else's body. However, if someone decides to have sex, they are also deciding to take risks. If something does occur, like pregnancy, they are ultimately responsible for their actions.

p.s. Just because Bush and I share one common opinion, doesn't mean we share every opinion. I agree with you on the second part of your post, some things that have been/are going on in iraq are absolutely horrible..

I think a common misconception about pro-choice is that we aren't pro-abortion... we are pro-rights. It means that I support what a woman does with her body because its her body. Its a step towards equal rights for women (there is currently nothing that gives women equal rights as men or vice versa). I dont like seeing pictures like that and any pro-choicer will tell you that they dont like seeing pictures like that. I ask you though... what is the alternative? The alternative that I view from these type of movements is one of complete government ownership of the human body.

"That wasn't the media... the media is showing iraq as a video game"

Hey asshat - the media isn't just 'in your face' kind of stuff like making war seem fun or exciting. It gets pretty subliminal.
