[After the experiment Yuber is definitely feeling rather not pleased. No, it isn't because of what happened, more because he doesn't deal well with his violent tendencies being repressed

[Raine had been out taking a walk sometime after classes had been finished for the day, but for the moment she's unaware of anyone else who may be in the vicinity.]
[Yuber definitely sees her, and while he has not met or fought with Raine before, she definitely looks like someone who can defend herself.
Of course, if he knew she lived with Albert, that would make things very different. But since Albert sadly left his demon in the dark yet again, Yuber is going to be attacking. Since he's having some trouble moving, he's going to use some magic first. Searing Bolt will be coming her way. While it isn't the most powerful spell he has, he still has a good number of uses of it left for now. It isn't impossible to dodge at least.]
[Since she wasn't aware of it coming, it only gives her a small amount of time to react, and put up a temporary defensive magic shield in an attempt to deflect the oncoming spell.] Force field!
[Well, that will indeed annoy Yuber quite a bit. Very annoying when someone has the nerve to cheat and deflect his attacks.
So that likely leaves magic out for at least some time, so while he's not in the best of shape to be doing so, he is going to try and run to her and her with his two swords.
However, he is not nearly as fast as his normal. While the chaos of a battle is definitely a rush to help him forget being injured, he is definitely still injured.]
[While Raine wasn't aware of where the spell came from initially, seeing the man with the two swords appear gives her pause, eyes widening with recognition - just a moment, before she attempts to employ some of the tactics she used against the hunter - namely using Faeren the earth spirit's magic to raise some of the earth in front of him in an attempt to knock him off balance before he reaches her.]
[Yuber notices the spell and then the effect, but unfortunately not quite in enough time to be able to deal with it in a way that is effective. Had he been in top form, it wouldn't have been difficult to avoid that spot or jump over it, but it does indeed trip him up, and that sure does hurt a lot.
However, Raine won't quite notice just how badly it did, because he decides that rather than to be embarrassed by falling in the middle of a combat, he is going to teleport himself so he is behind Raine, in a standing position at that.
[... Teleportation. It's one thing to be vaguely aware of knowing what the opponent was capable of, another to be faced with it.
She attempts to turn around, hoping to block the worst of any of the blows with her staff - at the moment that's all she really has for a defensive tactic.]
[Raine's staff definitely catches his swords so that they don't injure her. That has Yuber growing somewhat annoyed. He quickly pulls them back and tries for another attempt at slashing with both of them.]
[Again she holds up the staff to block, while trying to back away as fast as she can. This isn't giving her much of a chance to use her own abilities, so she tries again to be indirect with the filial magic power - this time using light manipulation as a distraction technique.
The intent is to make it bright enough to throw him off guard, but doing that while simultaneously guarding isn't the easiest of attempts, so something has a likelihood of failing.]
[The light does actually help Raine to some degree because it definitely throws off his aim so his next slash is indeed very badly misplaced.
He's going to look away for the time being and since the teleporting seems to be working well to move easily, he's going to teleport to a spot nearby where the light will not bother him.
And then he is going to try magic again in hopes that the earlier force field has worn off. It's the same spell he used before.]
[The slash may be misplaced, but it does catch Raine on the arm before he teleports to another location. She grimaces briefly, but ignores it for the moment - it's disconcerting when she doesn't spot him right away.
The earlier defense did wear off, but realizing another spell is coming will lead her to use that tactic again-] Force field!
[Yuber was definitely not liking this spell, but then fighting against magic users could indeed be a very annoying thing indeed.
And honestly, he wasn't holding up as well as he had hoped. He would definitely make that brat pay later. But for now, it was an all or nothing move that would be the most logical thing. He is going to use the Eight Devil Rune now to do his most brutal attack in hopes that it would do something.
And he would hope that this time his victim wouldn't think to attack one of the copies.]
[Raine was making an attempt to run before his next attack, but that soon is put to a halt by the sudden appearance of copies.
All she can really do is guard as best as she can against it and attempt to use that earth magic to disrupt him again - but this kind of attack is less avoidable than the others, so something hits.]
[And unfortunately that earth magic really doesn't actually stop the attack or even really trip him up much, at least that is visible during the attack itself.
But when the copies vanish and Yuber is back to his normal self, it is more evident to Raine that her attack did do something. It made the injury to his knees that he got from Sora earlier much worse and he nearly ends up losing his balance.
He realizes at this point, there is little more he can do. Magic isn't working, if he tries melee attacks, he's just going to make himself unable to walk. So Raine will get lucky and the demon vanishes to another spot in the forest far away from here.]
[Raine keeps a sharp eye out for him for the next few moments, having noticed him stumble for that brief moment after the attack, breathing heavily and remaining on guard. When he doesn't appear again, she hurries to get out of the area, stopping only to cast a first aid spell on herself - not good enough to do any major healing, but enough for her to get home with.
All she can tell for certain is that she was pretty lucky in this occasion. It's not exactly a comforting thought.]
