Went to jury duty today. I did nothing but freeze and read far too much of A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby (over 200 pages in one day in an uncomfortable chair is too much; also, Jess must die) and wish desperately that I could be reading footballer slash. I have to resist reading footie RPS, as I am afraid it will consume my life and be the end of me. It is very very very very hard to resist (particularly Micha/Torsten, adlkfjasjlk). But Stevie/Xabi sounds interesting and assassins are always cool, so I am intrigued and my footie RPS rules may have to be bent a bit.
AND today I heard Micha speak English in an interview (concerning Chelsea, of course). I think it was fairly old, but aww so cute nonetheless. I'm looking for a clip of it on youtube--will let you know if I find one.
By the way, who needs a life when you have footie? ;)

I have adapted a slow approach to footie RPS, if for no other reason than I've never been a slasher before (it's amazing what this sport has done to me). I have never read Micha/Torsten because for some reason the German team has become a slashy picspam team and not a fic team in my head. It frees up a lot of brain cells by just focusing on pics of them and not the fic. Stevie/Xabi, on the other hand, is eating up way too many brain cells, in fic and picspams. Conviction by idees_fixes is an unbelievably awesome fic, as is the stuff at outforhire. I have not finished all of the assassin fics as I keep getting interrupted by stupid things but I started at the beginning and have read most of them, with the exception of anything involving Cristiano Ronaldo, because he is Cristiano Ronaldo. There is a bit of Kaka/Andriy Shevchenko there as well, which is better than ( ... )
