I'm 6'4" and have been since about freshman year. Yet a couple years ago I got a pair of "Frankenstein" style costume boots on a lark. They add a good 4-5 inches. I wore them with my pinstripe suit to a ganster-themed party and played "bouncer" all night, greeting guests, giving them the rules to the party games and such. I'm used to looming over people, but I towered over everyone that night. It was quite fun, but as the party wound down, I took the boots off and walked around in my socks for a bit and suddenly everyone was so tall! It was quite jarring. :p
