So, I'm having a good old-fashioned 'catch up with NaNo'/'watch the US election results come in' party. By which I mean it's me, David Dimbleby (on BBC), pilfered Diet Coke and Goldfish Crackers. (I'm CJ-ing all over the place

*g* This is very much what I'm doing, albeit without goldfish crackers (where do you even get those? I was so disappointed when they didn't sell them in Vancouver ...). I wrote about 150 words of T/S then gave in and came downstairs for the coverage. I'm suffering Christopher Hitchens; I'd better get Schiff in recompense. ;)
*g* Deli in Covered Market. When Mommy was here... (Brother2 got Lucky Charms, so I got Goldfish Crackers. And Peanut Butter Cups, but I've already eaten those ;) )
I'm not getting much writing done, plus G came back and has popped his head in occasionally from 'sleep' to see how we're going. I just don't want to get excited too early :|
(Except I totally am. The first bit, when McCain was ahead, with all of three states projected, freaked me out)
Mum's got her second wind now (after promising me she'd go to bed at half-twelve) so I've got zero work done. But I don't know, NaNo pep talk plus (hopefully) ongoing good news in the election? Could mean lots of twitchy, caffeine-laden energy. ;)
(I know. I was all: why does McCain's name have to be on top, s'not fair not fair! Because we haz irrationality. *g*)
If nothing else, the red cups are back in Starbucks tomorrow. Gingerbread Lattes for all! Mostly me.
(Oh, I meant to say, since we're talking about Oxford, that on top of my last email, we can of course do London as well as Oxford things. I can do theatre eeeverywhere)
Actually this is what I'm doing (sadly minus the goldfish crackers. Okay it's me, my laptop, ABC TV and a big mug of tea. Though there are some cupcakes in the oven) *grins*
Peanut butter cups ftw (there's a sweetshop that sells British and American sweets that I've never been glader for). And POSITIVITY (Obama took Ohio).
It's not hard as a basic recipe, but the ones I made I riffed a bit (I played around with the contents and so forth). Baking in general - it's not hard, with practice (and it's good in that usually you have directions to follow pretty closely). Except sponge cakes, which I is fail at ;)
I has no Nano (or rather, if it makes you feel better I have only 700 words of mine), but a lot of tea. And 24 pages of exam revision notes.

Positivity right back :) Though NaNo is still kicking my ass, so at least I have not-depressing things to watch.
