I think, somehow, I will not make pagecount on

... it's sad that for a Britsh person, this question totally stumped me. I'm sort of looking for stuff my Dad likes/d, but all I could think of in genre was The Police. He likes Dire Straits, and ELO, and the Beatles obviously, but I want something kind of uber-Britishy. Baba O'Reilly might be too much of a challenge for my singer, but I could bend reality a little - it needs to sound good on the soundtrack of the fic more than anything!

Unfortunately, I fail with music so I'm probably not going to be much help with the soundtrack. I just sorted my iTunes by genre and it is all alternative or movie soundtrack. I literally have 2 country songs and 1 blues song. Although, my 1 blues song does fit the description of 'frustrated, angry wanting' and I find it a very enjoyable song for some reason. Breakin' Me by Johnny Lang. I could possibly sendspace this if you're interested? Um, British music...maybe The Clash--I think they were British?! *fails*
And I'd just like to say that I love you for creating a soundtrack and putting so much thought into this. I'm very excited to see the end result :)

And there is also a song called 'Capital Radio' which is, of course, about radio. I don't think it's a particularly good song though. But it got me thinking about radio songs and you've somehow got me connecting Ryan more strongly to radio than television so then I started thinking about him singing 'Video Killed the Radio Star' and when I looked that up on Wikipedia to find the artist it said "is a song by the British synthpop group The Buggles, released in 1979. It celebrates the golden days of radio."
I'm also sort of enamored of the classic Clash song 'Should I Stay or Should I Go' because if Ryan sang it all the judges could be like, "you should stay!", or, well, Simon would roll his eyes and say it grudgingly, but still. And also it's one of the songs you can pick in Rock Band so I was imagining Ryan ( ... )
