Smoke bans are wonderful, wonderful things. I always get so surprised now, when I travel and suddenly have to breathe that black crap again.

The smokers are naturally bitching and wanting to get a ballot on the election so the "people" can vote. Personally I think that's extremely selfish. They are only thinking about themselves rather than the waitresses and people who have to work and breath their second hand cancer crap.

If they really want to smoke, they can take it outside.

Yeah, what you said! I hate breathing in other people's smoke. I get bronchitis and my doctor told me it's because, although I have never smoked in my life, my father always has. I think they should copy that "2000AD" story, where people who smoked could do it in public so long as they wore a bubble helmet! LOL!!

I really hope this sticks as the smokers are livid and wanting to get it on the fall ballot. *rolls eyes*

I live in the environs of L.A., where they are passing ordinances against smoking on the beach now (which seems excessive until you go to the beach and start finding cigarette butts in the sand). Yay Smoking Ban!

Of course, that's one reason Johnny lives in France most of the time.

Ok that's just gross.. butts on the sand. Of course if it were up to me smoking period would be banned. but that's jsut me. LOL I hate it. Bleh..

But people can do what they want... just don't do it where I can breathe.

coolness!! it's weird going to other state and being in a Wendy's for an example and eating around smoking people.

Maryland ya really have to go out of your way to have cig in a restaurat and 90% of them don't allow it at all :)

I've got to agree with sunflwgal here. When California first instated the ban I was a smoker, but still and yet, I was glad that the ban was enacted.

Now when I travel to other states where smoking is still allowed in public places, it just blows my mind. Seriously hurts my head.

It also annoys my throat, burns my eyes and makes me cough.

Yay for smoking bans!

yay! :-) I do wish people would wake up and realize that they are killimg themselves.

I lived most of my childhood in a smoking environment and I never realized how disgusting it was until I got out and began living in a smoke free environs.

I;ve been seeing reports that restaurants are actually reporting gains in sales because of the no smoking. In the long run it's a good thing.

I am too, I just hope the whiney smokers don't get it reversed. That would truly be annoying.
