when you know you've made the right choice

i'm taking a minicourse typicaly offered to biomedical science students. it's called "the energy problem: obesity, starvation and diabetes." i'm in it because a) it addresses diabetes, which is a disease relevant to my family [my mom has it] and b) because the topic of metabolism is what originally got me interested in doing research.

I love this entry. I went the opposite way, but this:

the life sciences is just not as "fabulous" as the health sciences because the consequence of our work is decades away from yielding any benefits. but that's ok. somebody's gotta do it. and i'm happy that i made the right choice picking grad school over med school.

Naks Chi! I love metab too (haha ang nerd). Go find something for diabetes! Yey! I have it on both sides of my family. :D Haha, originally, I was aiming for Endocrinology but my dad has it in his mind that I'm fit to follow his steps and be a cardiologist. Kung ano man mangyayari, mangyayari. Haha, see you soon! Miss you! *mwah!*

well, i'm glad you're in med school but i think you should follow what interests you. but that's relatively easy for me to say because my family, i think because of having very little exposure to my specialization, lets me do whatever i want. but nonetheless we both have very good support systems so either way i know we'll find our niche in science.

huy, kelan ka pupunta dito??? :P
