Much easier to practice that zen view with lots of practice... and if you have the ability to replace the plants. I always stuck with the Mother's Day date for planting anything other than beans and peas. (Don't know what the actual last freeze date is... Mothers Day was the one I learned either for here or one zone up... I don't like even more risks than needed with my mottled green thumb. :-)
Hoping for your plants! Most that are recommended for spring planting around here are capable of handling a one day frost, as long as it's not a hard frost. Chin up!
I hope everything survives! i know that i had a frost down here a few weeks ago, everything survived, the Basil was a bit worse for ware but it is coming back nicely Best of luck (going home to cover and bring in)
