Yoshimori expertly layered the frosting on the cake top-- because he is just that awesome that his frosting technike is really good. "Are you ready in there?" he asked the vanilla buttercream.

"Yeah I'm ready," said the voice of Luke fon Fabre. "But I think the chocolate chips are melting on my skin and the sharpie is running off of my abs. we have better hurry!"

"Ok," said Yoshimori, and he stuck roses on the cake then decorated the edges with curlicues of blue frosting and did a super job really, you should all order cake from him. "Don't worry man, I'm almost done now."

"This is going to be Tear's best birthday ever!" gushed Guy as he helped wheel the cake down the hall.

Shinjiro leaned in close, pushing the curtain of Ran Fan's hair aside. He looked solemnly into her eyes for many long minutes. When she realized how long she had been looking directly into his eyes, she felt her chest tighten, feel like she had to look down to readjust her privacy around her for protection. He just waited there, patiently watching until she got up the nerve to look into his eyes again. Then the whole process would start over again, and again, and again.

By the fifth time, she barely needed to glance away. Maybe he noticed this. He touched his fingers gently to her cheek, the crinkle around his eyes as he sort-of-smiled at her telling her things that could not be put into words.
