I want to put this episode in my scrapbook and draw little hearts all over it. Soooooo exactly what I wanted to see here. All of it. House's subtle swallow when the PI told him he wanted Wilson to be pining. Eeee heartbreaking and so perfectly played. Wilson pleading for House to go away, and still so hurt, so upset.

I even liked the Stalk-ee Lady, and the way she directly told PI that he was making her uncomfortable. Also liked POTW lying to the other patient's wife, although the parallel of that argument to House-Wilson in "Wilson's Heart" was a little overdone, I thought. ("You want to put me [House] in danger to keep your husband [Amber] gasping for breath just a little while longer!")

Also, the POTW parallel to Wilson - House: "You thought you were seeing the world clearly, but something in your brain was keeping you from seeing the real beauty." - was bleh. Since when has House been eager for his patients to have a sunnier outlook on life? And why can't the POTWs just be POTWs?

P.S. "I'm not gay" and "we don't have ( ... )

Yes on the P.S.! I really like the theory that House is bisexual, either in potential or in experience, and this kind of distinction makes me think the possibility is being left open for that. Anyway, from a gen point of view, it's great to see that he continues to be knowledgeable & tolerant and so forth about this kind of thing. (Was it you I was talking about this with -- that House never picks on patients for their sexuality, but only for being idiots ( ... )

I always write House as bi-er than Bowie. ;)

Maybe not sunnier, but he's wanted patients to have more normal lives before. Eg, convincing Maddy to let Abigail have growth hormone in "Merry Little Christmas," or wanting the hemispherectomy for Patrick in "Half-Wit." One could argue a more normal life means a sunnier life.

I was charmed! (Except for the gross parts).

I feel that this captures a good amount of the series in general.

...and by "gross" I mean the fact that Cameron is hanging out with Wilson.

Also, bodily fluids where they are not supposed to be.

Aww, you don't mean that about Cameron. (Do you? I thought their scene together last week was good.)

That was a wonderfully slashy episode! (Although I'm still not used to the new time slot...)

I will not tie myself up in knots about perceived declining quality.

Good for you. Fuck "quality." Your friends are interested in hearing what you thought of the episode. Period.

Heh. Right now I feel like this blog is *flails everywhere* where maybe it was once *sits and contemplates*.

I like the earlier slot because it means I can come online without getting to bed too late (on days when there's time to come online, anyway). Something tells me it won't last, though. When Fringe finds its feet or gets cancelled, like what happened with Bones and that show with that guy from Office Space/"T.B. or not T.B." and American Idol and whatever else they've used House to raise ratings for.

Where are nightdog, mare and the rest of the gang?! Did I miss something besides the show?!

I was getting ready for my trip and completely spaced that it was Hughsday!
When I finally realized it, it was already 8:45 but I couldn't leave the food unattended on the stove.

I'll have to watch the ep later, online, I guess.
