These were taken today in Boston, just a couple of hours ago.
If anyone has any tips for easily differentiating between purple and house finches, I'd love to hear them. I'm assuming these are house finches (with the exception of the pair of goldfinches). I know that sitting in a high spot singing is a house finch-y thing to do, but I seem to have caught two individuals with my camera.
Taking pictures of birds at a feeder is kinda like shooting fish in a barrel but some were in the trees, posing a challenge.
