Read-a-thon post-mortem

Wooooooohoooooo!

I (mostly) completed my first read-a-thon ever!  I made 21 of the 24 hours...I finally fell asleep at 5 am.  I attribute my success in being awake that long partly to my housemate who handled the caffeine issue and some of the humor.  Witness my midnight cappuccino:

How much do I love the Moneypenny Diaries? A TON.
I do kind of wish we'd gotten to know Percy a bit earlier, and that we had a more suitable explanation for Bill's pissiness in the middle of book 3, but these are such fantastic characters!!!!
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Dorothy and Bill and M and Randy and even Joanna (poor misguided soul that she is/was).
I'm thinking about the mix and will PM you in a bit

yeah, I get frustrated with my housemate a lot (and I'm sure that goes both ways), but she really is a sweet thoughtful person

You're crazy, but I loves you.

Also: I'm was at the BWW conference this weekend, and I got into intense conversation with an academic who deeply felt that Alan should play Rochester in the next Jane Eyre film. I figured you wouldn't object.

I automatically like this person, because they are made out of right (at least on this issue)

*giggle*
I luff you too (even in my crazy way)
Did you see my bday post for you? I was going to call you, but the read-a-thon got in the way...so I'm glad to know that you're out of pocket anyway....and wth with not having an Amazon wishlist girlie?

...I think my brain just had a conniption thinking of Alan as Rochester. The voice, the brooding...*drools*

What was I saying?

Way to go!

I would love to do that next year -- but I'll have to totally plan ahead and clear my schedule for at *least* a couple of days to recover from staying up that long! And that coffee drink in the matching mug is fantastic -- go, roommate! *grin*

Thanks!
Sorry for not responding sooner, but I had to make up for all the sleep and work I missed in the 24-hrs LOL.
There are traditionally read-a-thons in April and in October (*hint hint*). October is usually evil for me since that's when everything crescendos for the fall term, but I might try it anyway...I'll certainly let you know.

And, yeah, even though I sometimes want to smack her, most of the time my roomie is pretty darn cool
