I discovered SWC fairly recently, so it's really nice to see that people are still adding new things to the fandom. And this is fantastic -- just the right mix of tender and sexy. :D I especially love this description of Chuck's approach to lovemaking:
Geoffrey often imagined that Chuck's lovemaking style was an amalgam of what he knew-the quick and the dirty-and what he'd wanted but rarely had the time or opportunity for-the slow, thorough, and ultimately much more satisfying.
It's so perfectly him, and you captured it so well. Anywho, that fic was really sweet and a joy to read. ^_^
I also discovered SWC fairly recently (through my love of Colbert). I actually was working on this piece several months ago, then kind of forgot about it for a while, and then just suddenly and unexpectedly finished it this afternoon.
It can sometimes be really hard to come into a fandom after a show's heydey, but I've been pleasantly surprised with the amount of people apparently still checking the Chuck/Geoffrey and Stephen/Paul comms. :)
Geoffrey had never figured out whether it was because Chuck saw them as the same person-a beautiful, artistic thought Geoffrey liked to indulge-or that Chuck only understood the things that happened to others in terms of how they affected Chuck himself-the more likely answer. Chuck saw Geoffrey injured, but what Chuck experienced was the anger and possessiveness that the appearance of an injured Geoffrey caused him to feel. In Chuck's mind, Geoffrey getting beaten to a pulp was something that had happened to Chuck. It occurred to Geoffrey that this was either very sweet or very disturbing.
This is awesome. And so freakin' Chuck.
Geoffrey had, in fact, known priests-a couple of them biblically-who were more in touch with their sexuality than Chuck was.

oh this is beautifully clumsy and god damn you managed to take the supremely fucked up narcissistic relationship between Chuck and Geoffrey and make it good, and still, surprisingly, in character.
If that makes sense. Sorry, writing of this calibre always makes me incoherent :P
i like this very much. it's interesting psychologically, and i am moved by the sweetness of chuck caring for geoffrey. despite all their arguments and all chuck's nastiness in the show, it's clear to me that he's crazy in love with geoffrey in his own off-kilter way.
please forgive my being self-referential, but i posted a very little something recently (my only writing in the fandom) that shows how overwhelming that love seems to me. but then i always have to fight my tendency to romanticize. *g* chuck noblet and the nightingale
