Lex swallowed hard. He didn't want to say anything aloud, but between aliens on Earth and this, it was this that he found the most incredible. In the end he had no choice but to ask, "We're... going to be friends again?"
I realize Kal-El is under stress here, but he's being a real bastard; if it weren't for future Lex's sake, I'd have been hoping present-day Lex would tell Kal to go to hell. (Then again, maybe I'm just extremely Clark-hostile from watching tonight's SV episode.) Still, like everyone else, I love our Lex being so affected by the idea that someday he and Clark will be friends again. And I can't help hoping that, in lieu of 'our' Clark ever apologizing, Lex will at least get some proper apologies from Kal-El. *crosses fingers* Great update!
Gosh, really? I haven't seen a Smallville episode since s7e1, so I don't know about last night's episode (though I'm sure Clark was an asshole to Lex, as that is rather the norm). But how do you mean that Kal-El is being a 'real bastard' here? Oh! Do you mean because of his bitchiness in the snowstorm? Or, like, because he manipulated Lex into coming along? I'm interested to hear. :)
