I currently find myself facing down a hurricane. Hurricane Irene has had everyone in a tizzy here on the US East Coast for the past few days and rightly so. She's a biiiiig mother!

Nearly had a panic attack last night when I turned to The Weather Channel and saw the bright red tornado warning at the bottom of the screen. Got dressed, threw on my shoes, got my bag, and was waiting by the door to run out and hide under the stairs, but five minutes later the warning expired. Whew... put my pajamas back on and had chocolate to make myself feel better. LOL

The creek did come and pay us a visit, but it wasn't that bad. It came up to the wall 'round the back of my building, but didn't get high enough to flood the downstairs apartments. I look out of my dining room window and can see a sea of muddy, salty-smelling creek water. Lovely.

The sun came out and it was wonderfully blustery! Aaaaahhhh...

My only hope now is that my office has been destroyed. But, a girl can dream. ;)
