OK, Mother Nature... BRING IT!

I currently find myself facing down a hurricane. Hurricane Irene has had everyone in a tizzy here on the US East Coast for the past few days and rightly so. She's a biiiiig mother!

She's a Category 2 as I write this, but when she'll probably be down to a Category 1 or lower by the time she reaches where I live in southeastern Pennsylvania. While it obviously won't be anywhere near as bad a Hurricane Katrina (she was a Category 5 when she made landfall on the Gulf Coast), this is still nothing to sneeze at. There will be widespread power outages, wind damage, flooding. I live pretty close to a creek which is notorious for flooding, so that will probably be paying us a visit this weekend. I live on the second floor, though, so hopefully it won't be that bad. I'm more worried about the trees! I practically live in the woods, so I'm surrounded by them. I don't want any of them crashing through our roof our crushing our car! O.O

And we had an earthquake this past Tuesday. An earthquake! It was relatively small...a 5.8 that struck northern Virginia. I was at work at the time and all I felt was a little rolling and shaking that lasted less than a minute. I've been on worse amusement park rides. LOL But, still...an EARTHQUAKE! Everytime I say it or type it I have to shake my head in disbelief. We don't get those often on the East Coast because we don't have a major fault line on this side of the country. We can still get them, but they're usually small and far between. The last one with this kind of magnitude hit in the 1940s, I think, soooo....yeah.

At this point, I'm beginning to wonder what we East Coasters did to piss of Mother Nature. What else you wanna throw at us, woman? Freak snow storm? Meteor shower? Biblical plague? BRING IT!  XD

Oh, and Mercury is in retrograde. Computer or general technical problems? Have people gone crazy in your area? Has your life been generally crappy recently? This is probably it. Bloody Mercury. *shakes fist*
