There's such a lack of things to do around here besides reread my old textbooks, although Mum has said that we should go visit Gran. Huh, I don't really know about that, though. She's been kind of strange and morbid since Granddad died. Ahh, I don't know what to do. I wish it was September already ( Read more... )

He's the bravest of the brave, my cat Sir Robin!

Thanks! Your suggestion really helped along the idea of naming him something dignified! Well, at least it's dignified if no one catches the reference anyway.

Oh, by the way, I don't think I caught your name. I'm Botan, nice to meet you!

I'm glad I could help!

It's nice to meet you, I'm Akito! If I seem really cranky than that's Agito and if I seem like a loser face, that's a loser face named Lind.

You've got different personalities? I've never met someone with different personalities before! I'll be sure to remember that, thanks.

Brave Sir Robin? Saa, isn't that from Monty Python and the Holy Grail?

And I'm sure your cat isn't dumb, just stubborn.

Bingo! It is from Monty Python and the Holy Grail!

That is a possibility, but since I suspect that he has some brain damage, well...ah. It doesn't matter! He's a good cat, anyway.

Thought so. Is he as brave as the real Brave Sir Robin?

Saa, if you want to tame him a bit, you could always try rewarding him with food every time he listens or does something right. That's how I trained my cat.

Actually, he's quite brave, but my Dad thought it would be silly and ironic to name him that.

I see...thanks! I've never had a pet before, so it's always good to get some tips.

What on earth are those scribbles? No, not at all, at least not compared to other names I've seen for pets. I just mean it's ironic and if he was a human he would gripe that his mummy ruined his life by naming him after a movie character that wasn't actually as brave as his name entailed.

...Scribbles? Melnics isn't scribbles.

...Meredy is not sure she understands...but she thinks its a nice name!

Melnics? What is Melnics?

No worries! The movie I'm referring to is fairly cultish anyway and if you were raised around wizards I...wouldn't even expect you to know what a movie is. It's a good name for Robin in any case.
