As I turned 36 this weekend I continued to have some realizations as I have in excess since this past winter. The weekend's realization is that my friends and I are awful people. But, it's no longer "awful funny" or "awful edgy"... it's just awful and it's an embarrassment ( Read more... )

We left the party around 9:00... and as I expected Smith and the Bulldog made up all kinds of excuses about not being able to go out for Bday drinks. Just as I expected. Exactly why I had asked them not to have their party on the same day as my Bday. And, of course, several other people who might have otherwise gone out for drinks to celebrate with me, were too tired to do so by then too.

This whole situation has made me see how selfish the two of them are. The only thing that matters to them is 'them'. As redundant as that sounds. They don't really give a crap about other people's schedules or being accommodating. They only care about themselves to grotesque levels.

I saw your post Sunday morning about making it out on FB and I snickered cause I thought it might be a dig at them for them to see. Which is why I commented back about glad you were able to make time for it or whatever ( ... )

LOL Yeah a partial dig but it doesn't matter. I doubt they'd see it but they do seem to check up on what you're saying and doing. They may care only of themselves but that doesn't mean they can't also be your biggest fans ( ... )

Just to throw it out there though . . . I know it's not your thing but I do get two free guest passes with our gym membership per month (I got us the Kiss your Ass top tier premier membership ;->). If you like just let me know and I'll get you in. You'd be free to use any equipment they have and take any member group exercise class you want.

For the cost of membership we just cancelled satellite and if there's something on TV we want to watch we go to the gym and get on a treadmill or elliptical. They all have individual LCD TVs with cable. Just plug your headphones in and you're good to go.

FFC East Lakeview - 3657 N. Pine Grove
FFC Halsted Street - 3228 N. Halsted

I usually bounce between the Halsted, Union Station and Gold Coast locations depending on what I'm doing.

I've stuck more with Halsted lately because my trainer is there and our permanent locker is there. I need to get back in to Union Station in the mornings for cardio. Gold Coast is my favorite by far (the new ( ... )
