AWESOME. I will go to New York and that SXSW show, if I can. No LA or west coast yet either, so it's clearly not the whole tour. Weird about boston, though, they always get a good turnout here...

Avalon is the old limelight, right? That will be an awesome place to see them.

Ya, Avalon is the old limelight.

You going to sxsw? I'm strongly considering it. I'm definitely going to either sxsw or Coachella.

Def. Coachella. SXSW is SUCH A PAIN with the pass and all that. If I can get credentialled somehow, I might do it. I love austin though, and that mogwai show makes it tempting... Stubs is NOT BIG.

Dude, you were at Coachella? Fuckin' A, man. I've gone the past 2 years. My pictures from this past year are somewhere around here. TAF was the highlight for me, too. They tore shit up. I was really impressed with what they crammed into their 40-minute set, too. It didn't really compare in terms of their ~2-hour set from February at the Roxy, which really was magical - and yes, I hope that's the only time I ever use "the Roxy" and "was magical" in the same sentence - but the energy they brought at Coachella was just unbelievable ( ... )

Yeah coachella was a good time. I'm thinking of going this year. I'm hoping for Mogwai, obviously. ;)

I've had some other magical moments at the roxy - Nick Cave, Beth Gibbons, the Faint, Les Savy Fav... there have been some good shows!

And yeah, totally check out that low record! it's their best in a long time!

Makes me smile remembering how many of these I saw with you...and that was while living in different cities! Can't wait for 2006!

I KNOW! It's shaping up to be a good year, too. We can double the number of shows we see together!

I'm surprised you but the BRMC on the "good but disappointing" list. I think the live show clinched this one for me.

man, I need to catch up on the new music. The nano will remedy this situation :)

You know, the BRMC album is... it's SO MUCH better than their last albums and it IS really good. I wanted to write an essay about just that. I think I'm thinking "wow, they made such a great record they should have gone the distance and become the new Dylan but it's just not there."

I do really really like it, though.
