eddy, when i graduate with a degree in religious philosophy, we will have a face off: atheism vs. christianity, once and for all. it will really be a lot of fun.

but the fact of the matter is that neither one of us will be able to say anything to the other one because it's a complete and utter stalemate. but, i could beat you up when it comes down to it. :) haha.

I believe there is a force greater then all of us that makes the wind blow, rotates the earth, makes the sun shine, and I don't think it can all be explained with science or releigion.. I however know I am the ruler of my own destiny and that is all I need to know.. as usual though eddy makes good points but I will still argue that the republican hardcore shit has got to go..

these days, no one is saying anything or doing anything that is through their own voice. and this "punk rock/hardcore scene" perpetuates that to a great extent, it shouldn't, but it does. if you don't dance right, look cool, think the same things, then you don't fit in. i don't ever want to hear anyone act like there is a difference between the trl bullcrap and hardcore these days, because the majority of people involved in hardcore will propagate it as if it were popular fashion. i think you know exactly what i'm talking about. and this right here isn't a jab at thomas at all, i think he is entitled to his opinion the same as anyone else (i really wish he knew what he was talking about a little more before he tried to pass it off as fact) and i will defend that to very end. but it's just discussions like these that make me realize how everyone is doing exactly what everyone else is just because everyone else is doing it. it's really kind of sad.

Word to that man.. I have been distancing my self from this scene cause it is not what I really want to be a part of anymore.. If people still got the point and still understood the politics and could read between the lines of things it would be different, but like you said we have got to a point where we judge on fashion and that is lame.. I found my self being critical toward people without even getting to know them just cause they did not like what I did or they did not dress like a "hardcore" kid and shit.. I have got pass that I am almost 22 years old man, I no longer have have time to judge people on such trivial bull shit.. I will still make jokes about it and shit (cause I will always be an ass) but I am not going to say someone is a bad person cause some dumb shit like that.. Also we are so quick to blame when we see a kid who does not fit in we automatically assume he is trouble and our on edge the rest of the night at shows, now is that not just another form of racism and classism something we are supposed to be trying to ( ... )
