Word to that man.. I have been distancing my self from this scene cause it is not what I really want to be a part of anymore.. If people still got the point and still understood the politics and could read between the lines of things it would be different, but like you said we have got to a point where we judge on fashion and that is lame.. I found my self being critical toward people without even getting to know them just cause they did not like what I did or they did not dress like a "hardcore" kid and shit.. I have got pass that I am almost 22 years old man, I no longer have have time to judge people on such trivial bull shit.. I will still make jokes about it and shit (cause I will always be an ass) but I am not going to say someone is a bad person cause some dumb shit like that.. Also we are so quick to blame when we see a kid who does not fit in we automatically assume he is trouble and our on edge the rest of the night at shows, now is that not just another form of racism and classism something we are supposed to be trying to do away with.. We have became a contradiction of ourself with republican hardcore and punk being the big thing, shopping at the mall for our next big fashion craze, LOADS AND LOADS of spoiled rich suburban white kids who don't know shit about shit, and this war with christians being part of this scene.. I STILL after all this time don't get it. we can't bash women for being women or were sexist, we can't say any racial or homophobic slurs, but for some reason just cause someone is christian we can put their personal belief on display for humiliation.. I am in no way defending the fundamentalist christians or the insane extremist right wing ones but there are decnt people (i.e. YOU,WILL,GGREG,STEVEN,DENISE,MICHAEL,THE LIST COULD GO ON) of the christian faith..I don't know I could go on but I will stop..
