I had a quiet weekend, and for some reason, I felt I should take it off the internet, so I did. It was a bit difficult to get up, the slack fairy blackjackin' me hard all day, but I won out and actually left the house both days. Pecans are composed of up to 70% fat, but it takes nearly a cup to exceed your Reccomended Daily Intake of fat. The fats are unsaturated though, so they're good for your brains and body and stuff.

No, like eller said, they're good for you. Good for you like fish and stuff is. Just don't eat handfuls at a time if you're watching your weight because they're extremely high in fat and calories. I know walnuts have about 200 calories for only a quarter cup. And 16 grams of fat!

We have walnuts a go-go around here. They grow on the trees in these big green things that are about the size, shape and color of tennis balls. Except they smoosh. A lot. When they turn black, the walnuts are ready. My mother claimed that you could collect these things and sell them and make a fortune, but I think she was full of crap. There's nothing more fun than eating nature's bounty, though. I always loved to eat mulberries from the trees ...
