Well it is the end of the summer. And I am gearing up for the biggest cycling event of the year for me... the 24 hours of Allamuchy in New Jersey. On Saturday the 23rd and Sunday 24th Jared and I will be racing/riding for 24 hours strait. I feel fairly confident that I can finish barring a catastrophe. I hate it when I know that I really need a good nights sleep and there for never go to sleep. I mean I know that I am working 10 hour tomorrow and need sleep to perform well on my bike and need to be up at 6 am in order to make it to work on time, but my mind will not shut up long enough for me to sleep. This was my 5th attempt on the Wintergreen Ascent. And I thought I did horribly. Until we got back to Emory and I realized that I placed 7th. Not bad, considering that I felt crappy (though not as crappy and Jared) and I hadn't trained for this race.
