I think, personally, it would be totally awesome if that's all we get out of this. Not, "it was all worth it, they saved the world and found happiness!" I don't think that's how life or people work. All I know is I'm not in Supernatural for the happy ending.

I've read meta similar to those you mention and I'm in the same boat as you on this one. When I was watching I just like, oh shit, something just clicked and now it all makes sense--they're going to lose everything.

Let's see if my heart can survive this. XD I love the prospect and weep at it simultaneously, and that is the best feeling in the world when it comes to watching a TV show.

Yesss exactly, why have a favorite show if it doesn't depress the hell out of you and make you want to cry??

Yeah, I totally agree about loving that they have the guts to actually do it. Like how they aren't afraid of pissing off their fanbase by killing off beloved characters and aren't afraid to change the whole dynamic of the show. I can't think of any other shows that are like that. It definitely keeps it interesting for me.

:D

Well, I mean, most of the supporting cast that were men are dead, too, now that Cas and Bobby are gone. And Lisa and Becky aren't dead. But yeah, I do wish we could have at least one regular woman character with some depth.
