i would provoke you, save that my own journal is more of a collection of bulletins and notes to myself to remind me of what i've done/not done. that, and our friendship was sort of peculiar from the start.

Quite agree on the peculiar friendship comment. I blame myself. I react to words out of context on the internet, but in real life I take all commentary and stimulus with grains of salt regards to people and situation.

Not to say it's a bad peculiar friendship. You made me the best CDs.

Hello, though. How are you?

Getting in touch, it has turned out, is not nearly so difficult as books and movies lead us to believe they are.

in the last month's time, I have sought out and connected with 3 old friends, and only failed to "touch" the fourth. Two other exceedingly old, almost "geriatric friends" at this point, have sort of fallen back into my life the way these things do, with little ado and much happy comfort.

Keeping in touch however, is another story. What ought to be the very simple task of a weekly call or e-mail to maintain continuous contact becomes a looming daunting entity as one must figure out what to say to someone important on an unimportant occasion.

That said, here's hoping, and check your e-mail.
