Ha, there's also the fact that Balthazar already called Cas Sam's boyfriend in Appointment in Samarra. So if one is 'canon', then so must the other be, if we're taking Word of Bal as canon.
Yeah, it's not canon. Balty is just butthurt that his angel friend is paying too much attention to his humans. Poor Balty.
You are getting impossibly close to pushing me over that line to where I will *want* to watch SPN again. STOP IT! I ship D/C so hard and this moment of flail is so enticing. But I will not waver. NOPE! It's gonna hit hetville hard after a line like that and I don't want to be disappointd. But still...
But in all seriousness, I'm just waiting for crap to go bad again. Imagine how I felt as a wincest shipper. :/ I hardly call myself that anymore, but lately they keep teasing me with it, so who knows where the hell I'll end up in the future.
TBH, D/C shippers have had it bad lately and I don't think they've had a proper "moment" since last season. In fact, I think the last good one was Castiel manhandling him in the alley, and then the total fail of the finale. I mean damn, I don't ship it, but even as gen it sucked that Dean had such a little reaction to Cas, um, exploding in front of him.
LOL! I think the let down post I did made me appreciate the show more, oddly enough. Plus I've been rewatching old episodes and whenever Dean and Sam act cute, it takes me back to a happy place.
I absolutely loved Ellen. Jo, meh, but man, Ellen. She is an amazing, BAMFing woman and it was so good to see Bobby so happy. I think I had a heart attack with the camera work when he tells her about her dying in another reality and how it lingers on her mouth drinking, and it sort of communicates how much Bobby loves her and how everything about her is beautiful. I am such a sucker for details like that. ♥
For me, this episode should be titled, "How I learnt to stop worrying and love Supernatural" because fanservice, shark jumping, crack and plotholes aside; I'm watching it because it's entertaining. And it IS. :D TBH, I did roll my eyes at the "DEAN AND CAS SITTING IN A TREE" comment but it was all in good fun and fanservice? I feel honored this show has writers crazy enough to roll with the fandom! :D
The only thing is that I now worry about Cas because there's a little part of me that thinks the writers will turn him evil. I think it's because I used to love Heroes and it was the only thing writers knew to do with their characters (wait, SPN writers are fans of this trick as well) and now I worry the very second someone acts a little shady. And Cas with his souls and weapons acts plenty shady. :/
Heh, I totally remember Heroes fail. I only lasted two seasons. I really don't believe they'd make Cas evil because unlike other characters that have gone evil on spn, it has never been that big a main character and they KNOW how beloved Castiel is. Hell, a lot of fangirls love him more than Sam and Dean, so I think what with how they do cater to fans that they won't want to piss them off that bad.
Entertaining is definitely the word, lol. I think it's only as good as it is because like you said, you stop worrying about things that got screwed up and just watch it for entertainment. I think that's the greatest positive that came from leaving fandom and getting so disappointed: you can only go up from here.

I'll let you know if it gets amazing. :)
