TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimensions In Space). It looks like an old British police box because it's meant to blend in but the chameleon circuit got stuck and now it looks like that forever :(

AHAHAAH xD I LOVE your take on the Doctor. He's a time lord. He gets 13 lives - so 13 new faces - and it's not QUITE every new season but near enough.

And Daleks CAN go cup stairs now :D

and Doctor/Master. Oh Doctor/Master how I love thee. Let me count the ways ~ Seriously, that stuff is so epic it's almost mythology.

I'm half tempted to run a watch-a-long with five or six EPIC episodes. (One includeing the girl with the angels. So scary omg)

Oh so THAT'S why there's always a new one, lol. IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW. One of these days I'll brave the show. I'll make it my new year's resolution. \o/

Well it's good to know that I don't have to watch other series! I know it's doable to not watch different series in Star Trek, but not other fandoms. My parents never watched Starsky and Hutch, so as a kid I never watched S&H either. :)

Watch Doctor Who! \o/ Or at least, watch the new seasons, with the 9th through 11th Doctor. That's five seasons, which is a lot, but it's not the years and years of episodes that the show actually has. (I haven't seen any of the Doctor Who episodes that aired before the 2000s, myself. It's not necessary, really, to understand the plot.)

That's certainly a welcome relief. :D I suppose if I really enjoy it I can always go back and watch the classic stuff.

daphnie_1 quite adequately explained Doctor Who <3 Doctor Who is epic and you don't have to worry too much about catching up an an impossible amount of episodes :) each series has 13 eps hour-long eps, and there's 5 series, plus Christmas specials and a sort of drawn out, inbetween series that came about in between 4 and 5 because David Tennant was half in the door and half out ( ... )

That doesn't sound too time-consuming, so I may just have to try Doctor Who at some point.

As for Buffy, I still don't know. I'm not totally biased, but I tend to only try older shows if I know they contain epic slash, because hey, incentive! I know it's a wrong way to go, but at least I'm honest about my motivations. Plus I'm not sure I will like a show at my current age when everyone who has watched it was either a teenager or child at the time, so that gives them a certain bias to liking the show (like how every cartoon from my childhood is freaking awesome and I'd still watch it while today's cartoons are crap.)
