I wasn't a huge fan of last night's episode either. Better than most but I guess after the 100th episode it didn't seem amazing?

Castiel I actually do love<3 So I will be unhappy if he never returns.... ): In fact, I'd rather this show shipped no one. This show I actually watch for plot although Dean/Cas or Sam/Dean is never a horrible thing for me. I do wish some people watched it more for plot rather than the pretty boys... I know some people I lend my DVDs to and I go, "You like it?? :D" and they say, "Dean is cute :D" and couldn't give a shit about plot :/
Pfft, I'm all about plot. A show wouldn't keep me watching after all the shit I had to sit through in season four and most of season five and if I only liked their looks. :)
So Mischa may not be back next season, so Castiel may die?
IF THEY PULL THAT SHIT ON ME, I AM DONE. Seriously. I hate to sound like a traitor, and I love the boys, but I love Castiel more than is healthy and after everything he's done I just. I couldn't bear it. They COULD keep me, but it would all have to be in a S1 vain, like you said. I'd have to be enjoying it, rather than hanging on and hoping, y'know?
I'm not sure where you stand on Snape, but your comments on Gabriel made me think of Snape. He's an arsehole for 6 and 3/4 books and then we find out one good thing about him and suddenly he's a hero? Haha. There's Gabriel for you. He was a total asswipe but UNDERNEATH IT ALL HE LOVED HIS BROTHERS. Whatever. I mean I didn't dislike it but I don't really get the love for him either.
I think the end of this episode was the only thing I enjoyed about it. The boys at the Impala, working on a plan. And Pestilence was totally gross, in true Supernatural fashion.
I guess I have high hopes that the show WOULD get better next season on a S1 scale, but if they killed Castiel AND kept up the same episode quality as this season? IDEK.
Oh lord, word on the comparison of Snape and Gabriel. Look, Snape is still an utter asshole, a petty, obnoxious asshole. He hated the SON of a guy he used to hate and he was a terrible teacher. I don't get the saint Snape team either.
