SPN has been having this ugly trend this year. For half of the episode, it is awesome. This episode, last week's with the bodyswap, Changing Channels, list goes on and on, wherein half of the episode it's exciting, nail-biting, funny, awesome, epic, you name it, and then the latter half is dumb and they'll stop the episode for about 15 minutes and talk about how everything is fucked up and there is no hope and blah blah blah free will vs. destiny BLAH.
Oh good, I'm not the only one. But seriously, you don't have to go on about it every freaking episode. I can't wait until this season and the apocalypse is over. I think this is what gets me through the crap, because I'm sure we'll get a sixth season that will go back to simpler times.
I've been rocking Sam/Dean/Cas as my epic OT3 since season 4, oh yussss. I hate that Cas was put out there, then snatched back this ep, though, pretty much the same way Anna was, except I don't hate Cas' guts >.>
Michael was indeed having a serious lack of gravitas, and the theme anvils HURT MY HEAD, OKAY. That's how hard they're being dropped. But I can forgive that scene because Dean had a quick panic over Sam before he realized it was Michael and he could fix shit like that, plus Dean's reactions to Michael's anvils were heartbreaking. just awful to watch, emotionally.
This is the first episode I saw the OT3ness myself, better late than never, lol.
UGH ANVILS FALLING EVERYWHERE. I still don't forgive the scene, though I forgive the EPISODE for Dean's momentary panic. Plus we finally got to hear a fucking 'Sammy' again, and when was the last time you heard that? *sadface*
I TOTALLY agree that half these episode have been stupid DD:
I mean, they're in the biggest battle imaginable and then they have a good time swapping bodies.... idk. I really wish that they had more serious episodes... Like, where the eff is Lucifer?
I'm totally with you on this. Usually I'm all for funny episodes and breathers, but they've been doing half and half episodes and they keep teasing us with epic shit, like last week's panic over Sam's body being able to say yes without Sam in it or this one in which we're terrified that their parents will be killed or some other mindfuck will occur but nope, just a memory erase and it was all basically for nothing. Ergh, it's like they're cockblocking us, lol.
