I said The Catch Trap was slashy? Well, it's a book about acrobats in which the main characters are canonically gay and have an Epic Romance. I suppose that counts as slashy.

You may be thinking of the film Trapeze that I linked to, which is slashy (and sadly not textually gay). The ending sucks, though. (No one dies! But it still sucks!) I understand that gay acrobats are easily confused. :)

I must have combined both of them and dreamed up this epic slash story set in a big colorful circus. :/ Fail, self, fail, lol. I remember now the difference, and yes I have both. Damn, crap ending? Now I'll need a little longer to watch, LOL. I guess it's not too bad, I've been in fandoms where the ending really does suck. (Hard Core Logo, death. Deathwatch, death and impending death.)

My girlfriend says that thanks to the dS story, she can't think of parakeets innocently anymore. :P If you want an epic slash story set in a circus, there's always Harlequin Airs, which you can probably read without knowing the fandom.

The ending of Trapeze... starts out awesome and then becomes a letdown. It's nothing a fixit story can't fix. The Catch Trap has a happy ending. I think.

Also, you can write your Yuletide letter whenever you want, although it is probably most helpful to your author the sooner you write it after assignments go out, so they can get your name and check your letter.

(FYI, Deathwatch is still on the needy list, at (1,1). This means that if you volunteered to write it, you're the only one who did. If you didn't, one other person volunteered.)

I don't know, right now I'm not bummed at all. Then again I could blame the season, because my favorite time of year is winter, so it's hard to be bummed out.

Fuck yeah circus fic. You've gotta love a fic that opens with, "So this whole mess begins with Frannie and her goddamned masturbating parrot."
