A couple of K/S slash nuggets for your Sunday

Sep 27, 2009 09:17

I have a new 'their love is oh so canon' tag, just to chronicle all this Kirk/Spock shit I keep discovering. Seriously, every day I learn or think up something new.

I finished reading the Star Trek: TMP novel, and besides the earth shattering shit I mentioned in a previous post, there wasn't anything too huge that happened after that point.

However... )

slash, shaking and crying, meta, their love is oh so canon, space husbands

I LOVE that macro, lol. And that's so true, even if it's non-sexual, it's still powerful and they're still soulmates, destined to be at each other's side. *le sigh* \o/

i just read and interview of the writers of the script
and i don't think shamefully they will embrace K/S for them Kirk and pock are het!!!
that's why Uhura is in there they say is a good idea to have Spock taking the girls from kirk!!

So they did the worse error ever and i think will do it again!!

Yeah, the writers certainly aren't the most reliable people on the planet. I read an interview in which they said Kirk and Spock were three or four years apart when it's common fact that they're a year apart. :/ And you know, it is sort of cool that they went with Spock, gives all the male nerds hope of snagging the hot girl...erm, if they're a hot Vulcan nerd, that is.

But the rest of the story is great, all except for writing in Uhura just to give Spock someone to hug. I mean hell, couldn't they let Uhura hug him without them dating first? Whatever happened to friends?

yes i like the movie!! check
the characters are good too check

Spock taking the girls (he was always hot) check

but Uhura will be in the bridge, she is a really good friend, if she is more we have a lot of problems in the story line(alternative or not)not only for K/S for she too

and why we are in the 21 fisrt century if gene and the writers can do it in the 60's please the 60's

why they want him to be Het????????? you can't flirt with your super friend!!!!
the older Spock there it's was JJ. idea so they didn't write that part
and yes the birth of Spock wouldn't being a change
the enterprise be new can be the distortion makes the technology to go further
Why they don't read nothing at all before writing!!!

I can't believe I never replied to this, so it's belated reply time! :)

God yes, there's this essay in which the author speculates that Decker/Ilia was a mirror of K/S, and even though it's a stretch, it's rather convincing, especially in light of this novel.

It sort of flew over my head the first time I watched TMP, mostly because I was amazed at how long it took to film Kirk actually getting to the Enterprise, but holy crap, there was like a 360 degree change when Spock came aboard. I mean, Kirk insisted that there was to be a Vulcan as science officer. Missing someone much, Spock?

:D I wrote that essay!
Heh, the whole time I was watching that, i was waiting for slashy subtext. I'd already read about Kirk's reaction to Spock arriving, so I wanted to see if there was more, and there totally was!

My reactions to the Metamorphosis comments: What is this episode, omg why haven't I heard more about it, this explains so much, awww poor Kirk!

Please excuse me while I go rectify an error in my TOS fanlife. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!

Yes, it is indeed an error that needs to be rectified. :P I'm still so stuck on the fact that a show in the 60's blatantly condoned human/electrical cloud loving. Homosexuality was SO 22nd century.
