Yesterday I walked into a store and Regina Spektor's "Fidelity" was playing. Thanks to this scene, I immediately thought of Veronica and Logan, even though it's been years. It's amazing how music can create such visceral reactions and emotions. My stomach fluttered and I was struck by this pang of love for my old ship. I really need to rewatch the ( Read more... )

Oh god, I miss them so much! And yeah, looking back I'm so with you on the ending for V/L actually being more uplifting than I'd first thought, especially when compared to other doomed ships I've lost over the years.

I love Veronica Mars. The Logan/Veronica relationship is what attracted me to the show in the first place.

At least once a year I have to have a VM marathon.

Logan crying in her arms over his mom killed me dead.

OK, this is crazy, because I had a dream about Veronica (not KB) either last night or the night before, I didn't remember until I saw the post, though.

And what train would you be speaking of exactly? ;)

You, me and Baskin-Robbins need to plan a VM rewatch weekend this summer.

And what train would you be speaking of exactly?

No train whatsoever! THERE ARE NO TRAINS IN OAKDALE!

Completely unrelated to Veronica Mars but related to visceral fandom memories with songs. Whenever I hear Time Is Running Out by Muse, I think of the Eccleston-era Doctor Who, because of a fanvideo I saw set to it that I fell in love with. Likewise Best of You by Foo Fighters, with the same fandom, because it was the music in the first fanvid I ever made.

Hide and Seek always reminds me of that hilarious scene in The OC, Don't Stop Believin' brings back memories of The Sopranos rather than Glee, Breathe Me was everywhere for a while but for me is the Christian/Olli song, and Ghost Town by The Specials takes me back to the opening of Shaun of the Dead.

It's really interesting to see what songs bring back what memories for people.

It really is interesting! Music is so, so powerful. Sometimes it can totally be a fanvid and not a song from a show itself, but it's indelibly linked for me.
