Russell Crowe confirmed as Javert in Les Mis. I love the idea of he and Hugh Jackman squaring off as Javert and Valjean acting-wise, but can he sing well enough? Hugh definitely can, and I guess we'll find out if Rusty's got the pipes

Oh, neat! I love Russell Crowe. I have only heard him sing a couple of times on TV and I don't really recall if I thought he was good or not, but I know he's sung in a rock band for several years.

Glee is not back until 9/21.

Ah, a co-worker said it was new the other night, and I thought it was very early, but I haven't been paying attention.

I assume they'll give him voice lessons, but hopefully they wouldn't cast him if they didn't think he could do it. But then we had Pierce Brosnan in Mamma Mia, so....

I'm definitely interested to see them square off as actors but as singers? Jackman's always a winner so I guess we'll see. And, yeah, Lea's totally got the pipes. That's something that you can't really argue with. As long as I don't see her face, I'm willing to entertain the idea of her singing ... something, lol.

I'M NOT READY FOR TV YET. I HAVEN'T CAUGHT UP. :(

Oh yeah, Hugh will always be the winner. His one-man show was AMAZEBALLS.

Rusty's got a really decent voice, at least for softer ballads and such. Don't know how he'll do in a musical. It's not my kind of music, but people have raved about his new album/collaboration. (You can listen to samples there.)

They're making a film version of Les Mis?!? I know I really shouldn't, but ... Omg, that's so exciting.

Yep, movie version of LM! I'm super excited. Loooooove Hugh, and there's a strong pedigree behind the scenes. I'm hoping it'll be awesome. :D
