I cleaned up my flist and quit a lot of communities that I haven't visited in years. Some I had to look at to even remember what the heck they were! Speaking of LJ, it's going down for two hours of maintenance in the middle of the day today? The middle of the night is one thing, but 4 p.m. pacific? And as I type this, I realize I'm coming at this ( Read more... )

Sorry, I meant pacific! Have edited. It won't really affect me at that time, but I feel for the west coasters who are trying to ride out the last hour of work on a Friday! ;)

It's so weird to me that some fans complained about DH being split into two movies.

I don't get that either. So much would've had to have been cut if they'd just done one final movie for Book 7. And besides, I wouldn't want it to be over just yet either.

Anyway, I'm super excited for the premiere next week...I even broke down and decided to buy tickets for the midnight showing late Thurs/early Fri. CAN'T WAIT. :D

And people always complain when stuff gets cut! Sheesh. Also, I love the accusation that the studio split the movies to make more money. WHAT? A movie studio making business decisions based on accumulating profit? The devil you say!

At least it's only two hours, so not too bad!

I don't want HP to be over either, the movies kept me going since the books are fini! The only thing I noticed and maybe I am noticing it wrong, but in the promos that are shown, it's mostly stuff from the end of the book, therefore wouldn't it be in the second movie?

I'm confused!

I don't know, I only watched the teaser trailer from way back since they tend to release the whole movie in clips by the time it comes out and I like to go in fresh.

I realize I'm coming at this from a North American-centric viewpoint. I suppose it's only fair to inconvenience users equally all around the world.

I hadn't thought of it that way. You're right; I shouldn't complain.

Harry Potter whee! The Monkeys want to see it right away, and I'm trying to explain that all the weekend tickets are probably sold out by now. Plus, it'll be mad expensive to pay for all five of us to go, so I'm going to make them wait (boo!) until a weeknight, when it's only $5 a ticket.

Yeah, at first I was wondering why they weren't doing this downtime in the middle of the night like before, and then I realized that it's not the middle of the night for many people!

That sounds like a good plan with the movie! Hopefully you won't have to wait long after opening.
