I'm so happy Glee was picked up for the whole season. Last week's episode was quite weak and the storytelling was so choppy and rushed, but I thought tonight was a huge improvement. Look, character development! Plot twists that aren't being played for laughs! Huzzah!

So, I have a Supernatural question. Wasn't the last time we heard about Ellen and Jo when the Roadhouse burned? Did the boys assume they got out? I thought there would be a little more surprise at running into them again. Did I just block out something? Thanks for letting me get that off my chest! :)

Hey you! No, they knew Jo and Ellen were okay. I know the last time they saw Jo was in season...I can't remember, but she was working at a bar, and Sam was possessed by a demon and almost raped her. (I was hoping they'd bring that up, but I guess they were a little busy!) That had to have been S3.

With Ellen, I can't remember exactly when they saw her last, but it was surely in S3, too. She might have been in S4 at some point, but I've only seen it once, so I'm not sure. :)

Really, it was that long ago that we saw them? S2? Geez, time flies! Thanks. :)

I think Kurt's car was a black SUV, maybe a Range Rover? I figure the dad's a contractor/plumber/electrician and/or Kurt's mom was loaded. He kind of has to be, with that basement.

Jenna was my First Martha Ever™ so I'm used to her singing the lower end of things - I was surprised that she could go that high, although I probably shouldn't have been.

Yeah, I might be completely remembering that wrong about the car. I just had the impression Kurt was rich and upper class, but I probably just assumed that.

Ohhh, I would have loved to see Jenna as Martha! I don't think she was ever on when I was there, although at the time I wouldn't have known all the chairs, so she could have been.

Jenna was fabby fab fab as Martha ♥ During Left Behind she gave her flower a little kiss before throwing it in the grave and it just broke my heart. That was the only time I ever saw her though, outside of one time when she was in Eryn's chair.

The funny thing was that the first time I saw SA Jenna was Martha and Eryn was Thea and then the next time I saw it from the orchestra I had Eryn!Martha and Alice!Thea. I am awful at faces, so in my head it was like, "Wait, okay. The blonde girl is in the same dress as last time but she's a different character, and those two Asian girls are a) two different people and b) two different characters and c) wait, who the fuck is Thea again?

Hee! My first Martha was Eryn, but she was the only female understudy I had in my three Broadway SA shows. This is the part where I'm sad again that it's closed, even though it's been nine months. Sigh.

Yep, it's Puck, short for Puckerton. And when he and the other guys joined Glee Club at the end, Will introduced him as "Noah Puckerton". Noah, omg. :x

I do enjoy that name. :D He just needs to get rid of that nasty hair, which is so completely unappealing.

I'm loving this season of Mad Men. Everybody made a fuss over this week's ep (as well they should!) but I find the slow build-up episodes just as enjoyable.

Agree on giving an instant Emmy to the person who wrote "He'll never play golf again." XD And Pete catching Peggy as she fainted -- oh, show, stop toying with me.

Is "Glee" actually getting better? I watched one and a half episodes and I'm in an *extremely* skeptical place about that show right now.

MM is seriously brilliant. I love having feet chopped off (on TV, of course), but yes, I do enjoy the slow build-up eps, too. I love it all. I ship Peggy and Pete so much. Sigh.

I really thought Glee was much improved tonight. I'm there regardless because of the music and my love for the actors, but I feel like it's starting to gel.

I'm super happy with this episode of Glee. Since the show came out, I have seen so many angry posts about how it's stereotypical, over the top, and lacks character development. In some ways, I agree. Or maybe it's less about me agreeing and more of me understanding why people feel that way about the show.

Ryan Murphy productions are campy and stereotypical and heightened. It's what he does. But I had faith that as the show progressed, we were going to see a lot more from these characters. And we're getting that! I hope that the people who were bitching and moaning (most of them forming negative opinions based solely on the first episode) watch tonight's episode and feel a little differently about the show.

No, it's not perfect. But it's so much fun and it's proving that it has a lot of heart too. It's not a one-note series.

Yeah, I can totally understand the criticisms and I obviously have some of my own, but I just want the show to reach its potential for awesomeness. I've always enjoyed Ryan Murphy's work (especially Popular), but I felt like it was way too choppy and rushed before. Tonight was so much better, and they're starting to flesh out the characters. I'm very pleased! Now that it's got the back nine episodes, I'm really excited to see how the season will take shape.

I was telling somebody the other day about how I feel like Glee is Ryan Murphy finally getting to make a show that's all made up of the Mary Cherry parts of Popular (my favorite parts). I'm excited to see how it comes along too.
