Since I'm all flush with Summer Glau love from SCC, I'm rewatching Firefly. This time around I'm listening to the commentaries, which are very entertaining thus far. I love Joss and Tim during "The Train Job": "You know what would have helped? Showing the pilot first." "What? That's madness!" Hee. Seriously, FOX really screwed the pooch with this ( Read more... )

I did not know that. Too cute! Oh, Zac, you sexy, barely legal little beast. (Ugh, right now that is, not in the pic.)

Have you seen the pics from Seventeen Again? They're up at IMDB.

I've never watched the episodes with the commentary. I really need to do that...

Oh, Efron! ;)

The commentaries are great thus far. Joss and Nathan on the pilot are really entertaining.

It's so funny that Zac was young Simon. He pops up in the most surprising places!

That's how I knew my Efron crush was completely deserved. He was on Firefly!

See, now that's actually kind of like...coincidental, I guess, or something, but I just bought the Firefly DVDs the other day, since I had never seen an episode but I love Summer Glau. I've only watched the pilot so far (and got a sort of sinking feeling that I wasted my money), but gosh darn it, the movie was so freakin' good, the show has to be awesome.

The show IS awesome. It took me a few episodes to really get into it, but the characters are so fabulous. The show was just really starting to gel when it was canned, but it still has a ton of great moments, IMO.

I finally got to see the whole of the men's competition today on ESPN. I didn't like Joubert or Lambiel coming into the competition and I still don't. I am very glad that Jeffrey won the title over that pompous ass who thinks skating is all about the jumps & not the artistry of the whole package. Jeffrey's was a great performance. I'm looking forward to next season.

Peace

Why don't you like Lambiel? Just curious.

Yes, Jeffrey was so great! I'm looking forward to next season, too. :)

Some of his comments about his skating vs others have disappointed me like w/ Joubert. I may have mixed him up with someone else, but I recall when he first came on the scene (or at least when I took note of him), he made comments very reminiscent of Joubert's.

Really? Huh, I don't remember that at all. Lambiel's always been so soft-spoken and sweet off the ice. Although it's entirely possible I just haven't read many of his interviews. Perhaps it's a good thing!

I'm a commentary junkie, especially for the Whedonverse. I used to pop in Joss' solo commentary on Welcome to the Hellmouth/The Harvest as background "music", but now it's Joss and Nathan's commentary for Serenity (the original pilot, not the movie). I always wished Joss and Sarah had done a commentary together. There's just so much affection in every FF commentary. And Nathan is a very charming guy :)

Zac Effron! HA!

The medal ceremony was lovely. But lord what were those feathery blue things they gave them? Looked like Vegas showgirl head dresses! ;)

Nathan is SO charming, and Joss is really funny. "I'm a control enthusiast." Heeeeee. You know, I've never done the Buffy commentaries. Must remedy that.

Zac pops up in the most surprising places!

Hee, I believe the blue things were flowers. I know the women got a pink version. I guess it's a Swedish thing. ;) Man, I'd love to visit Scandinavia one day.
