SPN ficlet: Red Wiggler

Nov 21, 2007 22:12

It’s Quellefromage’s birthday plus one! In honour of her happiest of days (plus one), I’ve taken a few prompts and cobbled together a rather ungainly ficlet. The usual disclaimers: gen, not mine, the boys, language. Prompts listed at the end. No beta, so if there’s stuff that’s wrong, well. Yeah.

Dude. *wipes tears of laughter* Oh geez...you know, I hit the vomit, and thought, "hmmm, she's been hanging about with Kimonkey7, hence the puke." And now I know the truth.

It's the best, puke studded, fracture-filled, butter cream frosting iced, acrobatic ballet of drunkeness in front of a bait shop fic EVER.

And the shiniest birthday present, too.

Thank you so much.

And, omg, you'll do ANYTHING to keep from packing. *grins*

Only you could have put THAT group of prompts in a single story and have it work out.

::is in awe::

What can I say? I like the challenge. As soon as Kimonkey said, "vomit, bait and tackle" it, like, all fell together. Hell, it's just nice to have an excuse to bang out a little ficlet.

I love Sam staying a safe distance away and taking in the chaos. *g* Poor Dean and John. Yikes, Dean's going to be in trouble as soon as John's recovered his equilibrium.

Nicely done. :)

Thanks, and yes, Dean is in so much shit. Doesn't matter that John squashed him flat.

LMAO!!! Southern Comfort on an empty stomach!!!! *gales of laughter* I was gonna pick out my favorite line, but I can't...I'd be quoting the whole thing back at you. Saving to memories, for those really crappy days when I need a laugh. I just love the image of Sam standing to the side watching, unable to do anything to change the disaster happening in front of him.

It HAD to be Southern Comfort, which is the basis of my own horribly unfortunate incident when I was the same age. *hangs head*

I imagine that Sam did that a lot, just watched on in slightly mortified glee.

Love your icon! Yeah, had my own experience with Southern Comfort when much younger. At least I didn't fall down stairs ; )

Thank you -- Kimonkey made it because apparently she knows something about it. I didn't fall down stairs, but I did puke all over them. It was sad, really.

Oh, those prompts fit perfectly together to create this masterpiece of mayhem *g*. I love Sam's observations, astute even as he remained a safe distance away. John flailing and slipping and falling due to puke - Dean's puke... just hilarious. And the landing. Ouch! Poor Dean. So not a pretty picture... for once ;).

Adorable ficlet.

Please extend my best birthday greetings to quellefromage!

It's freezing rain here right now. The season's here, I can't deny it. Needed this laugh to lessen the pain of this annual reality :)

It's fun working with prompts. I don't think I've done it before, believe it or not. But it was good to just bang something out, see if the fingers still worked.

Ooooh, very snowy here. It's still at its charming stage. But I just shovelled the front and it lost its charm pretty darn fast.

The drive in to work was not fun (about a half hour between Guelph & Kitchener), very slippery but thankfully no idiots were out there with me so it took about an hour, driving about 40kph to make it fairly stress free.

The drive home was clear sailing though. But after almost 3 weeks off on holidays I'll tell ya... I much prefer the idea of getting paid to stay at home and do nothing *g*. Hell, I wrote to stories out of the deal and that's never happened for me :D.

Somehow I don't think my boss would be willing though. I need to win a lottery!

Oh, you'd think that people in Ottawa would know about snow, don't you? Actually, I'm one to talk...I still haven't bought my snow tires yet. The car was sliding all over the place. Took the kids to get their flu shots. Hope like hell that's us covered, but I don't think I'll be that lucky, eh?

A2 always asks people what they'd do if they won the lottery, and then when they tell him, he'll ask them if they really need to win the lottery to do whatever they've just told him.

And then I tell him to shut up before someone hits him.
