Whoo hoo! This story is barreling right ahead. Seems the more things change, the more they stay the same. In the past, Bryant was concerned about the humans wanting to kill the vampires out of fear; now they might come after them looking for eternal life. The other-worldly ones might be facing a brand new uprising.

Alberic is still stirring the pot, potentially introducing a myriad of obstacles to an already difficult situation, not the least of which is his interest in Justinian. I kind of like that pairing, and I love how protective Bryant is of him, still.

Bryant and Slade still as hot as ever... holy tongue sucking, Batman! Loved that brief flash in the elevator (please feel free to continue what they started later on!!).

I loved the "Vampires are the new black" line. Might have to icon that one! ;)

Great job, B, and glad to see you posting again, despite everything you've been dealing with. {{hugs}}

I can just hear the Duh, duh, dunnnnn... Can't wai to hear what old Vic is up to now. Also be interested to hear how Al feels about his roll in the hay with Justinian. I'm sure it will be a far cry from their encounter at the witches cabin.

I am really going to miss this story. I feel like it has given me a little glimpse into your soul. Never has the metaphor been stronger than in this chapter. From the "searching for the thing that makes one different" to the cults that form when the ones that dare to be different reveal themselves to the world, this chapter does perfect justice to the plight of the individual in a pluralistic society ( ... )

I love Vic...but couldn't he have shown up just a bit later? LOL

Nice-very interesting. Alberic makes some good points about us humans. More, please.

I'm forced to pull out Silence and Tears to get my fix!

I just re-read that one, myself.
It is one of my favorites, and helps fill the void of 'really good Randall stuff' ! :)
I've re-read all of Randall's stories, several times. As I suspect we all have.
I've read all of Brian's at least twice. :) - Can't imagine I'm alone in that group, either ! :)

Hugs, Anita.

Nope, not alone.

It was just last week that I re-read some of Randall.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, the past. Sometimes, I long for it.

I'm sorry you are still hurting, Brian. Although, of course, I can perfectly understand the fact ( ... )
