You shut your face, I am more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Although I always thought if I had a barrel of monkeys, they'd be less fun and more screaming and trying to break things.

When I was writing it, I realised somewhere near the end that this piece was really, really John-POV'd, but Rodney's still there, just because his canon personality is so there all the time that you could get away with writing a story that's not told by him, doesn't focus on him and still have it end up being all about him. No wonder I love him.

If they ever have an episode where he doesn't show up in some way, shape or form, or doesn't say anything sarcastic, it will be the worst episode of the season, and I will write a Very Disappointed Letter. He's like the happy snarky background noise of Atlantis.
