BOOK CLUB: sign-up for "religion" theme
Ding ding ding! That dinging sound you hear is the notice that the discussion period for school stories is officially over. Members (and non-members) are welcome to continue the discussion, of course, but as a community, we'll be moving on.
Our next theme will be:
RELIGION
...which means pretty much exactly what you think it means: works of fiction or non-fiction with significant religious themes. Books featuring major organized religions, minor organized religions, New Age-style spiritual enlightenment; even books by atheists that dissect the pitfalls of religion are all acceptable for this theme. We aren't going to split hairs on this one.
Sign-up period: March 3-9
Reading period: March 10-April 13 (giving five weeks for reading instead of four)
Posting/discussion period: April 14-20
As you can see, we're doing something a little bit different with the deadlines this time. "Posting" and "Discussion" have been combined into one period; the community will not be moderated during this time, so we're expecting to see the discussion a little bit more staggered, which hopefully will give more members the chance to comment and participate. The reading period has also been extended by one week.
