Okay, her name is Marie de France, and the Lay (as they are called, and NOT poems I was informed) was Lanval, but I'm sure they are all equally wonderful. And if your translation dosent rhyme, because some of them don't, I'll lend you my book. The guy who translated my copy was Alfred Ewert, if your interested. She is AMAZINGLY funny and good. I never thought I'd laugh with true enjoyment at something written in 1140, but apparently I was so very very wrong.
Also...Richard the Lionheart slash anyone? MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
