I've had no major (or particularly important minor) issues with Flickr. It costs money for a pro account, but it is pretty insignificant ($25 a year).
And I can geotag all of my photos! But the flickr/yahoo maps for Japan are awful! But perhaps I am in the minority for really enjoying knowing the location of every photo I take.
Tyson and I use picasa and it's been fine. You can geotag photos there too. A certain amount of space is free, and then you have to pay a small amount for more. The extra space is actually usable from gmail too.
