Wooowhooo, I have finally exchanged contracts, completion is next Friday when I'll also be moving in, Hire van now also booked.

So I'm still not in new house but hopefully will be in 2 weeks, things aren't finalised yet but after some serious butt kicking they appear to at least be moving again ( Read more... )

so my solicitor finally has a copy of the contract so can now begin to do some work, unfortunately there was no indication as to when they can get out by (but they have no chain) so i still don't know when I'll be moving, looks more likely Mid May at this rate tho ( Read more... )

Just Phoned the estate agent and told him if the sellers solicitors do not have a the contract with my solicitors in the next couple of days then I will be looking at other properties. They have had 3.5 weeks since we agreed a price and I am well beyond the end of my patience.

Things looking good.

I believe the survey is getting done on the house tomorrow.

lets hope there is nothing wrong so that I can progress quickly to completion and buying stuff for the house.

Got home (but not for much longer), feeling a little better today, tummy isn't as broke and hatter and I are still on good terms, need to get more bits sorted today so that I can hopefully put an offer in on my new home if it looks good on Sunday.

I've stupidly found a house I really like, which given I need to speak to work, arrange mortgage etc. etc. I now have to hope nobody buys it in the next 6-8 weeks.

After being in our house 7 years and 9 months we have finally managed to get rid of the 2 wicker baskets which we've been temporarily using as bedside cabinets and swapped them for these
