Pridefest, Head Colds, and Mysterious Rumblings From Beneath

Today was Pridefest in Anchorage, and, as in years past, I went downtown to march with a contingent from my church. I love my church! Last year we sang as we went along, but this year I had a sore throat and couldn't strain it, and no one else seemed inclined, so we just waved madly and grinned at people. Yay Pride! Seattle's big Pride parade is next week--my dojo (the Feminist Karate Union) is putting on rainbow belts and demonstrating karate moves in the parade.

Sounds like there was a quite ridiculous number of parties in downtown Anchorage this weekend.

Yeah, and that's not even mentioning the Korean-American festival at the Sears Mall or the usual Flattop Solstice party, which I assume went on, as usual, without my assistance.
